Carrie Vugteveen

About Carrie

Carrie Vugteveen is the Vice President of Public Relations at Sioux Valley Energy. She has 27 years of communications and public relations experience, serving nearly 20 years in a strategic leadership role at Sioux Valley Energy. Carrie leads the public relations team that is responsible for member communications, special events, public and media relations, key account relations, government relations, lobbying, cooperative charitable giving, and community and economic development. 

She is a graduate of South Dakota State University, holding Bachelor of Science degrees in Mass Communications and Political Science as well as a Master of Science degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. Carrie is a 2009 graduate of the NRECA Management Internship Program. 

Prior to joining the Sioux Valley Energy senior management team in September of 2006, Carrie worked for the South Dakota State Cooperative Extension Service as Producer and Host of the “Today’s Ag” television program.
