Take the Time Glove Giveaway

Sioux Valley Energy members who take the safety pledge to "Take the Time. Every Time." can receive a free pair of work gloves. Review the pledge below and then submit your name to show you are committed to safety around electrical equipment. Gloves will be available to be picked up from a Sioux Valley Energy office in Brandon, Colman, Hartford, or Pipestone after October 1, 2025. Gloves sizes are large and extra large; limited quantities are available.

Safety Pledge

I pledge to take the time to look up and look out for electrical lines.

I pledge to call 811 before starting any digging projects.

I pledge to slow down and stay alert

I pledge to notify the utility of any contacts with electrical equipment or lines; if there is damaged equipment, I will stay away and warn others to keep their distance.

I pledge to Take the Time. Every Time.

If working on a farm:

I pledge to keep equipment at least 10 feet from lines at all times, in all directions.

I pledge to plan the day’s work and have a safety meeting with others working with me.

I pledge to use a spotter when operating large machinery near lines.
