Important Information Regarding Sioux Valley Energy’s Third-Party Irrigation Management Program:
► The third-party irrigation program applies to management systems installed at a service location receiving electricity from SVE.
► The third-party irrigation management program allows the member to receive a reduced rate per metered KW per month for their billing cycles April through October.
► A rebate of $750 is available per device for a third-party remote managed irrigation system if it meets the following minimum requirements:
- New system eliminates the need for a traditional SVE load management receiver.
- Ability to ingest automated notice from power supplier of shed and restore via email, text, or voice.
- Provide less than 15-minute latency from power supplier notification to load shed/restore.
- Third-party agency provides SVE notice of customer bypass.
► The member must agree to participate in the third-party irrigation management program for a minimum of five (5) years. If the member chooses at some point to opt out of the third-party program, the cooperative’s alternative load management program requiring the installation of a SVE receiver is available to stay on the peak shaving rate.
► Any control override of the third-party irrigation management program through the billing cycle will result in the member being billed for the full demand charge for said billing period. (Exception: A member may be allowed to override a control period to walk the pivot if SVE is notified of date and time of bypass — contact the Customer Electrical Services Department at 800-234-1960.)
► SVE is not responsible for missed control periods when the control is serviced and maintained by a third-party provider.
► Rebate dollars are limited and will be given on a first come, first served basis.
